Lanivn pretty much nailed it this season. The jewelry: best out there. The inpspiration was from two women sitting at a cafe in elegant dresses and turbans. Then, their daughters came along in tees in jeans. The message is how unfashionable the youngsters are these days. One you knew his inspiration, it calls out to you, everywhere in the collection. Always that 1940's & industrial inspiration in the collections, but this season is my favorite play on it so far. The colors are magnificent: eye-popping greens, reds, oranges, and sultry blacks. If ever there was a heaven for golds, and lamé; it would be this Lanvin runway. There was a tribal element that could be seen in the draped, and beaded cocktail dresses.In every aspect, the collection was for summer evenings. There really was nothing...NOTHING that I would not wear. The collection was perfect. The mix of warm colors, materials, and draping could not have made a more wonderful collection. Really guys....Elbaz is a genius. He takes the best ingredients in fashion, mixes them, adds his own secret ingredient....voila! L-A-N-V-I-N!!!
