Morning Sounds: Flume
I'm invariably still on East Coast time, which provides for waking up relatively early. Consequently to have sound accompaniment to early morning reading or blog perusing, Flume is played and danced to (or at least from torso up, as I still remain 1/2 upright in bed).
Harley Streten, otherwise known as Flume, has produced one of the best albums of the year thus far. The young producer notes that he is particularly invested in the quality of his melodies. This ultimately creates depth and texture in the music that tends to side around an easily digestible, danceable sound. What makes his music strikingly good is his decent ammunition of samples and vocals that add to the depth of the his foundational sound. So, take a listen and let the thoughts come out! pictures via random sources
