CAROLINA HERRERA: This wonderful collection brought together, the themes of Japanese woven baskets, and the usual satin formallity of Herrera's designs. BEST LOOK: This red/plum satin jumpsuit (left)
DONNA KARAN: This draped Donna Karan outfit is amazing. The collection was a simple canvas that flowed in the wind. As always, the queen of the drape, added her trademark detailing. A very wonderful collection.
This Marc Jacobs collection, was not his best. Combining a bunch of different inspirations, it was hard to see which ones were coming down the runway. A couple inspirations that could be spotted were the Japanese, geisha makeup, scalloped trimming, rouched leggings, and wooden clogs, like the Japanese tradtional flip-flop-esque clogs. Another inspiration was ballet. With the elegant tights and the makeup, to the simple lace details. This collection was a little disoriented, but good overall!
